RingSuite Notice

E911 / 911 Limitations

RingSuite is an internet-based phone service. During the promo trial, calls are typically delivered over a shared trial number and E911 is not enabled by default on that shared line. 911 availability can differ from traditional wireline service and may be unavailable during power, device, app, or internet outages, during service suspension, or if location information is inaccurate.

1. Internet and Power Dependency

Internet-based calling can fail during internet outages, local network issues, device failures, app issues, power loss, or account suspension. If the service is unavailable, 911 calling may also be unavailable.

2. Location Accuracy

Emergency responders may rely on registered service address details. If the user moves the device or softphone without updating location information, dispatch information may be incomplete or inaccurate.

3. Use an Alternate Emergency Option

Maintain an alternate and reliable means of reaching emergency services, especially during setup, testing, outages, remote work, or any period where service continuity is uncertain.

4. Trial and Early Setup Periods

During trial setup, test accounts, temporary routing, softphone-only deployment, or incomplete onboarding, do not assume emergency calling behaves the same way as a traditional business line.
